Perhaps the better known of the two is the corner sofa which appears to have become by far the most popular and most advertised style of sofa available on the mass market. With sofa megastores and major online websites offering corner sofas at heavily discounted prices you'd be forgiven for thinking that the corner sofa wins hands down purely in terms of cost. There is also a huge range of styles, fabric choices and designs available to choose from so there really is no shortage of reasons to prefer a corner unit in a range of different circumstances.
This piece of furniture not only makes a statement but it is also very functional. It is a multifunctional piece. It is appropriate for parties where you will need additional seating and at the same time it is also appropriate for sleepovers where you will need additional beds. It is a good way to incorporate extra beds into the home. The beauty of it is that when it is not in use as a bed, it does not look like a bed so only those who have slept on it or who own one will know there is a potential bed in your living room. So no more bunk beds, pull out couches and fold up beds. Guests will feel special knowing they can expect the best care from you. They will not even slightly wish they had stayed or returned home.
Students can benefit greatly from small sofas that convert into beds because their accommodation is often cramped and they really need room for a desk and chair. Of course, a sofa in the room will also make the space extremely conducive for having a cheap night in chatting with a few mates. One thing you need to watch out for with small sofas is the temptation to choose something so small that, instead of 'cosy', you unintentionally end up with 'cramped'. The key here is to remember that your sofa must be the right size to match the other items of furniture in the room, else it may appear overwhelmed as opposed to inviting.
