Students can benefit greatly from small sofas that convert into beds because their accommodation is often cramped and they really need room for a desk and chair. Of course, a sofa in the room will also make the space extremely conducive for having a cheap night in chatting with a few mates. One thing you need to watch out for with small sofas is the temptation to choose something so small that, instead of 'cosy', you unintentionally end up with 'cramped'. The key here is to remember that your sofa must be the right size to match the other items of furniture in the room, else it may appear overwhelmed as opposed to inviting.
Tuxedo Sofa - Borrowing its name from the town of Tuxedo Park in New York, the tuxedo sofa is considered one of the hints signaling modernism in the 1920s. The style is defined by arms the same height as the back (usually taller than other sofa designs mentioned in this post), inspiring glamor and elegance. The first versions of the sofa came with a single row of tufts and exposed legs. Pillows are optional but add comfort, especially to a couch with high arms.
he great thing about small sofas is that you can often situate them in areas of the house where you would ideally like to have somewhere to sit down, but creating a seating area could make the space appear cluttered. Typically awkward spaces are alcoves, corners, window bays, study rooms, bedrooms and hallways that are sufficiently generously proportioned. You can often find sofa beds that are pretty compact. These days, sofa beds can be extremely comfortable and even small sofas with a bed option can provide an excellent night's sleep. If you put a small sofa bed into a room that you might use for guests staying over, it can either be used for a couple of cosy seats or else provide extra beds if you have a family staying over.
