Before you start shopping around you should determine the available space that you have for your sofa. Measure the space accurately and remember to keep in mind that the sofa will be reclining and will need some extra space for that as well. Also keep in mind that most special features and attachments would require additional space. Knowing the size of your available space is very important to prevent you from purchasing a recliner sofa that does not fit into you living room properly.
If you have an empty, new living room you want to furnish, plan the theme of the room and the atmosphere you want to create. If you are only replacing your old sofa, look at the existing theme of the room. This will help you to determine if you need a contemporary, modern or traditional microfiber recliner sofa. For more basic designs and colors like beige or brown, you should look at more traditional or contemporary microfiber sofas and for bright colors and funky designs, you are more likely to find your sofa under modern microfiber sofas.
Perhaps the better known of the two is the corner sofa which appears to have become by far the most popular and most advertised style of sofa available on the mass market. With sofa megastores and major online websites offering corner sofas at heavily discounted prices you'd be forgiven for thinking that the corner sofa wins hands down purely in terms of cost. There is also a huge range of styles, fabric choices and designs available to choose from so there really is no shortage of reasons to prefer a corner unit in a range of different circumstances.
