Ten authors enter, ten authors leave with a higher word count…and one or more with the approbation of his or her peers.
Word Warriors who wish to battle will join one another in the conference room at the same time, synchronize their watches, and start writing.
Each Word Wars session will last approximately one hour (there will be time for encouragement and/or heckling). At the end of 30 minutes, each will announce how many words they were able to produce. Of course we are all gentlefolk here, so this is on the honor system.
Each official session of Word Wars lasts about an hour and a half, to allow time for chatter in between.
Clean your keyboards gentlepersons. It’s time to type.
