How to Register for CoyoteCon

Welcome!  The fun starts tonight.  Here’s how to register so you can participate in our chats.

  1. There’s a bar at the bottom of this page.  This is how you enter the chatrooms.  But you must log in to see the rooms.
  2. To log in, click on “Who’s Online.”  You can use an existing Google gtalk or Facebook id and password by selecting “Connect to Facebook/Gtalk.”  You will show up as “guest” in the chatrooms.
  3. Or you can register for a CoyoteCon wordpress id.  This will allow your name to show in the chatrooms as you specify.
  4. The chatrooms are open 24 hours a day, but take a look at the schedule so you know when the panels you’re interested in will begin.

The forums are optional – the chats will happen here on the main CoyoteCon site.  The bulletin boards are merely open for convenience, for people who enjoy connecting in a message board atmosphere.

Fixed Email Issue

If you tried to set up your Coyote Con wordpress account and couldn’t get an email to go through, that issue has been resolved.  I started using Google’s two-step authentication and I forgot that meant this site wouldn’t work if I didn’t set it up correctly!  As always, if you’re having problems with your user id/password you can reach me at joelysueburkhart AT gmail DOT com.

Call for Panelists

The first introductory email has gone out to everyone who contacted me over the past few months indicating an interest in volunteering as a panelist for one of our workshops (tentative list here).  If you’re interested in acting as a panelist and didn’t get the email, it’s not too late to sign up!  Just drop me a note (joelysueburkhart AT gmail DOT com) and I’ll add you to our list.

If at any time you’d like to be removed from these updates, just let me know and you’ll be removed from our contact list immediately.  This list will not be shared or used for any purpose other than notifying Coyote Con panelists and volunteers.

In the next week, we’ll be sending out the first draft of the schedule to the contact list for sign up!

Coyote Con Lives!

Please pardon our dust as we kick this site into shape.

(Custom artwork will be coming soon from Silviya Yordanova)

Maybe you remember Coyote Con from 2010?  We were an online convention celebrating all flavors and blends of SFF, horror, and romance.  Due to our founder’s serious illness, we took a long unexpected break, but Coyote Con is returning in 2012!  Watch for news of upcoming speakers and events, but pencil in October 26-28 on your calendar for a fun weekend of Coyote tales.

Life.  Death.  Story.

Join the Howl in October!
