Leather like any other natural material and fabric can fade when exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time. Therefore to prevent fading, avoid placing your leather sofa in strong sunlight. Leather is very sensitive to heat and like wood can fade, stiffen and crack when placed close to heat as it dries leather up.To maintain the surface properties and the original look of leather, we recommend that you keep any source of heat at least 30cm away.
There are many types and grains of leather sofas available on the market, so doing research to find the highest grade will assist you in making your final choice for a new leather sofa. Full grain leather sofas are said to be the softest but are the highest in price. Top grain leather has a more uniform look and is one of the most popular types. Pigmented leather is the type most used when you want a specific color of leather sofa.
Many people are attracted to them because of its durability and its ability to withstand wear and tear. Unlike other fabrics, stains are hard to get soaked into leather, therefore a leather sofa is easy to maintain and you can easily wipe off any stain easily. Over the time, a leather sofa will still remain as impressive to look at unlike most of the fabric sofas which wear off with growth of time. It is quite a wrong saying that this furniture absorbs too much of heat in summers and stay cold in winters. Actually, leather crafted sofa can keep a balance between the two differing temperatures inside a room and make you feel completely at ease. Hence, you gain comfort with leather sofa at the end, which no other material can suitably provide.
